Great little reference book you can keep in your lab jacket pocket or in your drawer at work to use as a quick reference at the bench. Also great for teaching students to do differentials it is a great visual. I would have loved to have had a book like this when I first became a technician many years ago.
As a new Medical Laboratory Professional I keep this Atlas at work and it has been very helpful to have as a reference when i'm doing diffs on the microscope. I especially likes that it compares pictures of cells that are similarly mistaken for each other along with guidelines to help differentiate.
I found this book to be incredibly helpful in identifying cell morphology and differences. It shed a lot of much needed insight into how to differentiate between different cells and understand abnormalities.
This is a fabulous study tool! My Hematology professor suggested this to the class at the beginning of the semester. I do not know how I would be able to perform a differential or be able to clearly identify different cells that are so close together without this tool. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who feels they need to freshen up on hematology or just someone starting to learn. This is a wonderful product I am extremely happy with the product.
. . . and these are pretty poor for a reference book. Enough are dark, blurry, and out of focus to be a disappointment. There aren't multiple samples of the same cell type. Abnormals can be very different within each type. It's about the same price as a used or former edition of Rodak's atlas which is the better choice by far.
This is a very handy little brochure that you can put in your pocket and review whenever you have a little downtime. It helped me a lot with my heme tests. I highly recommend it.
Must have for any student taking a hematology course. Used if for my undergrad hematology class and plan on taking it to my internship. It includes good pictures of all main cells and their lineages. Also comes with comparisons of cells that look kinda similar/often confused.
I choose this book because it said you can write on the pages with ball point pin and wipe clean with alcohol which I tried and it works. At first I didn't realize it was a pocket sized book until it came in the mail. But also like that feature now too. The best part is that the pages are tabbed for quick and easy to find cells. I have recommended this book to other co-workers.
